The Today show this morning is actually reporting possible competition between a movie and a book for kids. Harry Potter is out and it's opening weekend for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Which one will win?
Normally (my faith not so great in American children)I'd agree, hands down the movie would win.
My bet goes to Harry Potter. Have you seen the commercials for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? I'm a Johnny Depp fan but sorry - in this movie he just looks plain CREEPY!
I'm not sure I'm EVER going to see that movie.
At the very least I'll make my kids watch the original movie first.
Even if I wanted to see this movie I'd be rooting for the book.
ANYTHING that can get our kids to pick up a book - I'm all for!
